Facebook is adding some humor to its Facebook Live and 360 video offerings, as in CollegeHumor co-founder Ricky Van Veen.

Van Veen announced in a Facebook post (embedded below) that he was joining the social network in the newly created position of head of global creative strategy, adding that he will work with content creators and organizations and focus on video.

According to Re/code, Van Veen and three other co-founders launched CollegeHumor in 2000 and sold it and other assets, including video site Vimeo, to IAC in 2006.

After the acquisition, Van Veen worked on projects for IAC including its Electus studio, which was behind television shows including Chopped on Food Network and Running Wild With Bear Grylls on NBC, Re/code reported.

Van Veen wrote in his post:

Aside from my high-school dish-washing days, this has been the only job I’ve ever had. So while I don’t have much to compare it to, I imagine it’s been about as fulfilling as a job can be. When you tell fun stories for a living with people who make you laugh, even the bad days are hard to complain about. I would be much more trepidatious about this transition if I didn’t feel such confidence in the whole company’s momentum and direction toward continued success. After all these years, I wouldn’t leave if I didn’t know it was in excellent hands.

But, it’s time for the next challenge. So, next month, I’ll be joining Facebook (if you’re not familiar–it’s like Uber, but for people). I’ll be between San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles, and my official title will be “head of global creative strategy.” This essentially means that I’ll be working with all types of creators and organizations to figure out how best to use the biggest network in the world to better connect people with engaging and meaningful content.

The easy joke is that I’m continuing a career in startups and really getting in on the ground floor at Facebook. But I actually think that in terms of Facebook’s opportunity to leverage great content (specifically video) to the right audiences, things are just getting started. And I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of that opportunity ahead. Everyone I’ve met there so far has been warm, welcoming and incredibly bright.
